Winter Festival Weekend

This weekend really made me excited for Christmas!! Friday night we had dinner at Bonefish with Kenny's mom, stepdad and step brother- mmmmm:) Saturday morning Kenny's mom and I were up and out to go to Market Days where we got lucky scoring some really neat house decorations and holiday decorations. Kenny's mom bought 2 ( one for me and one for her) original pressed tin tile picture frames. They are so pretty.. I can't wait to get mine for Christmas!  Saturday afternoon we were suppose to run in the jingle bell run but Kenny ended up studying all day so we decided to just skip the run:( Instead we went downtown for happy hour and watched performances from the Christmas festival. The parade was later that night, it was so crowed we only got a glimpse. We called it a night with having breakfast at a diner with Kenny's parents:)

Kenny has been hard at work studying for exam week so we haven't had a chance to decorate our apartment or get our Christmas tree. But this week he's done so we're going to celebrate by doing some Christmas decorating:) We also have a 2 Christmas parties to look forward to this week, that I haven't found dresses for yet! Yikes.. Hopefully I will be able to find something cute tomorrow night. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Off again!

We just can't seem to stay put in Gainesville. This weekend we are off to Tallahassee for some Christmas fun:) Tomorrow morning we're going to Market Days which is a holiday craft show, that always has cute little gifts, and tomorrow night we are running in a Jingle Bell race downtown which is followed by a Christmas parade that Kenny's dad, stepmom, and sister are in and then we're going to a Christmas party. It's not a really long run but it's a start for Kenny and I. I would love to try and run a half marathon in the next year but I just can't seem to get into running, I would rather do the elliptical. Kenny hates doing any kind of cardio so I am going to have to do some convincing:) Tonight we are going to go see Christmas lights around town, and maybe do a little Christmas shopping at some local stores:) We are hopefully staying in town the next two weekends before we travel for Christmas and New Years.

Be back Sunday:)

Another year older!

I had a great birthday with my mom, dad and Kenny. I got a mani/pedi with my mom, got a haircut, and went shopping and had dinner at Bonefish. I love Bonefish around Christmas time for their white cosmos... I never drink martinis except this one. I am tempted to get the ingredients and try and make them at home one of these days. We ended the night having cookie cake and were in bed by 10:)

Etsy Christmas Finds

I often forget about Etsy, but last night I was looking for Christmas decorations and I found the cutest Christmas stuff on Etsy. You also can't beat etsy prices because most dealers on etsy dont have the over head cost of a store front so the prices are very reasonable. I picked out some of my favorites and thought I'd share:)

Woke up this morning craving something sweet, and I saw these on Pinterest the other day so I thought why not? They look super easy AND have whole wheat flour... Sounds like a half way healthy breakfast.

The recipe for Banana Bread Pancakes can be found here.
Ill let yall know later how they ended up tasting.

After breakfast Kenny and I are off to get started on some Christmas shopping and then take Sally to the dog park. Sounds like a good Sunday to me:)

Black Friday is a week away!

Black Friday is a week away! I am getting excited and anxious just thinking about it. I have a few things on my personal list, and then I have a few things that I need to get for gifts:)

I found this website, that shows most ads that will be out next week.

Things on my list include...Shark Steamer for $ 38, originally $60.

Ipad Dock they are usually around $100, I am going to be on the look out for one for around $50.

Old Navy PJ's- I load up on these every year. They are always around $8 on black friday.

At the outlets I'm hoping to score at Nike and JCREW for my self, and hopefully at Brooks Brothers and Cole Haan for Kenny. Last black friday Cole Haan had 40% off their entire store which was a great deal on shoes that NEVER go on sale!

What do ya'll plan on snagging up this black friday?

FSU vs. Miami

Another weekend in Tallahassee came and went... The weekend started early on the Thursday when my parents came to Gainesville for the night. We spent the night eating at our favorite local sushi restaurant before heading over to the new wine bar in town and then ending our night with frozen yogurt. ( Let's be honest with Mochi in walking distance to our house not many nights don't end with frozen yogurt). Friday we woke up early and hit the road for Tallahassee, when we got there I spent the afternoon getting ready for our engagement pictures! I can't wait to see them, I have checked my email every 20 minutes since Friday hoping possibly she edited a few, no email yet:( Friday night we had a fish fry at my parent's friends house. YUM! I ate my weight in fried food while downing some fruity cocktails. Saturday we were up early for the game, but before we could start tailgating we had to fill up on some Kripsyy Kremes. I think this is when I realized I hadn't had any kind of nutritional  substances in 48 hours. Whoopsie. The game was a blast, we ate and drank all kinds of yummies all day then called it a night. Sunday I slept the whole way home and pleasantly woke up to a art festival going on downtown. We ended our fun weekend walking around the festival. Fun weekend... DOUBLE CHECK.

Now for the pictures:)

WILW

Dinner with my two favorite boys last night:)

The Christmas section is out at Target! Kenny and I ran into target today and I loved seeing all the holiday decorations out! Less than 2 months till Christmas!!

Soup! We have been eating soup almost every night for dinner. Tonight we made Pioneer Women's Chicken and Dumplins. PW does no wrong. Everything I have ever made from her website has been easy and yummy.

This past weekend we made it down to South Florida for 2 days to celebrate sisters birthday. (AKA Momma). Saturday we spent the day shopping and getting are nails "did" before doing a little partying at night.

And last but not least...
While sister and I were shopping on Saturday I picked these cute little slippers up from Old Navy. I am in love! They are super cute and comfy, I might just have to get another pair:)
