Weekend

On Friday Kenny and I headed to Swamp Head Brewery, a local brewery. When we first got there we ordered a flight of their 5 signature beers. To Kenny's surprise my favorite was the midnight oil, the darkest beer they brew. It tasted just like a they had dropped a expresso shot into a beer, it was so tasty but I'm not sure I would have been able to drink a full one. The atmosphere and beer was great and we will defiantly be going back.

Saturday we got up early and headed to Orlando. Kenny's little sister Caroline was playing in a tennis tournament so we thought we would go hang out and shop. Gainesville has no shopping so I was thrilled to hit some malls and outlets up while in Orlando. Orlando has the best shopping, Kenny and I ended up doing damage at the outlet malls. We spent today being lazy before going Kenny's intramural game. Weekends go by way to fast...

Happy Fall Yall

Just some random thoughts...:)

I know I keep talking about it but I am loving the feel of fall. I love coming home at night and opening up the windows and lighting some pumpkin candles. I think this weekend I might make some kind of pumpkiney yummy something. I have my heart set on some pumpkin bars that I found on Pinterest.

I have finally convinced Kenny that he and the groomsmen should wear khakis and a navy blazer. I think if I let Kenny pick out his outfit for the wedding he would pick a tux... For some reason Kenny loves any reason to wear a tux. I knocked a little sense in him though and made him realize that we are getting married in August and having a casual wedding. I love the look of khakis and a navy blazer with brown loafers. These are some pictures I had pinned on Pinterest of some ideas:)

I have been crazy busy thinking about what we are going to be wearing in our engagement pictures! We are holding out until October to take them so it will be a little cooler out and I will defiantly be wearing some boots! Sally will also be in our engagement pictures, cant do a photo shoot without her!
These idea pictures are also from Pinterest.

Last but not least!
We made these for dinner...
YUMMY

UF TENNESSEE GAME

OMG this weekends weather was HOT. Where's fall????The UF TENNESSEE game was at 330 , and I was ready to leave by 4... I patiently waited till the 3rd quarter though before I complained, and Kenny was ready to leave then too because of the heat! Tommy ( Kenny's BFF ) came in to town for the game and he had never been to a college football game so we were thrilled to take him to his first game. Kenny and I take for granted growing up in a college football town and going to games every weekend growing up. Surprising lots of our college friends have NEVER been to a college football game. Before the game we made our way to a couple of tailgates and scored free tickets through a friend! Sunday we spent the day recovering... Now let's hope the next two weeks go by fast because all my bestie girlfriends are coming in town for the Alabama game!

What I'm Loving Wednesday:)

I've never done this before, but thought I'd jump on the band wagon:)

Slatkin Candles from Bath and Body works. The fall scents came out a few weeks ago, and I have been waiting for the perfect fall night to light one. I have been loving these candles for years but I especially love when the seasonal scents come out.

And then of course if that wasn't enough pumpkin smell for our apartment had to get the car scents and the plug-in's....

Tailgating-
I am loving that we live in a football town again, I already figured out what I am making for our next tailgate:)

My sweet little mama girl sent me this surprise in the mail the other day...
I think she wanted me not forget about the seminoles..
And last but not least I am loving my sweet sally girl. I love coming home to this little baby every day.
Sally with her "cousin" AKA ( Kenny's families pups) from her 3rd birthday party. Huck the chocolate Lab was put down this week at the age of 2 from cancer:(
RIP Huckleberry

Happy Hump Day!

Deliciousness

So I think it is a understatement that Kenny and i love the Pioneer Women. Kenny and I tried another one of her recipies Beef with Snow Peas, it was delish. Kenny actually picked out this recipe and made it! He was very proud of himself:)

And speaking of deliciousness-

I have a new obsession with bloody marys, they are addictive! I keep ordering them every where I go, Kenny thinks I am weird but they are just so dang delish. I am going to attempt making homemade ones this weekend before the game.

Yum!

First Gameday as a semi-Gator Fan

The weekend was a success! Kenny and I enjoyed our first football game in Gainesville. We had a couple friends come up for the weekend to help us party! On Saturday we woke up and got ready, the game wasn't till 7 so we hung out at our house for a little bit and then moved our party to a tailgate on campus. We tailgated all day and then last minute bought tickets to the game.. we got a guy to a give us 5 tickets for 20 dollars! We honestly didn't even know if we were going to end up going to the game because we hadn't bought tickets beforehand, but we ended up lucky:)

My gator spirited spread!

KEEP CALM FOOTBALL SEASON IS HERE

Football season is hereeeeeeeeee!!!!! Now I just have to decide who I am going to cheer for.... The Seminoles or Gators??? Kenny and I both grew up in Tallahassee ( home of the Seminoles) and both of my parents went to FSU, so I have it in my blood. Kenny's dad went to med school at UF, but grew up in Tallahassee so he always cheered for the Noles. Now that we live in Gainesville and Kenny is attending UF I guess it's time to break out the orange and blue and have some gator spirit. Although I will not be doing the Gator Chomp or cheering for the Gators I guess I will wear some orange and blue on gamedays for Kenny:) I am going to feel like a little bit of a trader though when we attend some FSU games this fall and I switch my wardrobe to Garnet and Gold.... O well!

I am thinking i am going to need this picture frame....:)

Can't wait for this weekend when we will attend our first game as Gainesville residents:)!!

Labor Day on the Lake

What a great weekend! Kenny and I headed to Land o Lakes this weekend to visit friends for Labor Day. We had so much fun we spent the weekend on the boat tubing, drinking and catching up. On Saturday night we went out to some local bars and ended the night at Village Inn (a breakfast place) to get a bite to eat! The next day we spent lounging on the pontoon boat and floating around the lake. We are now back in Gainesville, and miss our friends but are definitely ready for football season and to have big tailgates with our friends!!

Jalapeno Popper Dip

Made jalapeno popper dip for Kenny and his man friends for poker night. It was seriously so good that it good potentially be the new buffalo chicken dip... My only suggestion is that I think I would add more jalapeno next time. Kenny and I love spicy things, we go through a bottle of hot sauce a month- it is used as a standard condiment along side salt and pepper in our house. So I guess if I was making it for just us I would add jalapenos on top I think, but I would stick to the recipe when making it for a crowd. I also added a half cup more of panko crumbs. DELISH:)
