Wedding Wednesday Update!

The past few days Kenny and I have been busy doing wedding things in Tallahassee. We meet with the photographer, wedding planner, and went and saw the venue. It was nice to get big things out of the way like the photographer, we are so happy with our choice. After meeting her in person and hearing a million good reviews about her we know we made a good choice.Woodlands Fields Photography will photograph our engagement pictures, bridal pictures, rehearsal dinner, and the WEDDING! We also meet with John Gandy, wedding planner, who really got a sense of what Kenny and I envisioned for the wedding. Both John Gandy and Woodlands were just featured in The Knot, so I know we would be in good hands:)! We also did a walk through of the "new" venue. It was awesome! It is a plantation, so the main "house" ( It was remodeled to be a venue not house) is were the actual reception will take place and they have smaller houses around the property where the wedding party gets ready.

Here is the inside of the venue decorated..

Weekend with Friends

The past 3 days have been crazy! On Thursday my childhood friend Kasen came to Gainesville for the night with her boyfried Brenton and new puppy Rocko. They had gone to Lakeland to buy Rocko and decided to stay the night in G-Ville, which was a nice surprise:) Sally was excited too to have a friend for the day.

Meet Rocko:)

On Friday, Kelly and Jimmy arrived!! We took them around town for a few drinks and then called it a night so we could wake up early on Saturday to go to Ginnie Springs for the day.

The only picture I got:( I need a waterproof camera!!

Saturday night we got pizza from a local famous pizza place and called it a night. A day at Ginnie wears you out!

Today I am spending the day organizing my new planner that finally arrived!!! I haven't had a planner since I graduated so I have a lot to pencil in.

We are off to Tallahassee for a few days to take care of some wedding business. We need to find a photographer ASAP, I am torn between two, so we are meeting with both of them to try and narrow down which one we like more.

I forgot to share pictures from Hilton Head!
We had alot of fun spending the week in Hilton Head with the Shafer Family. Most days during the day we would hang out by the pool or go to the beach. At night we would get ready do a little shopping and walking arounf then go for dinner. It was a nice week of relaxtion:) Although I didn't take that many pictures, here are a few...

Caroline, Kenny's sister, who had a book in her hand the whole vacation!

What I love about Saturdays...

Saturdays Agenda:

Made Kenny Waffles

Ran errands with Sally

Enjoyed a carb-free dinner... Kenny is a big eater and we have to have carbs and meat at every meal or Kenny qualifies it as a "snack".... So since Kenny was working tonight I made a healthy carb-free dinner: Salmon, Greek salad, and spinach.

Then I decided me and Sally would have a girls night in... So I bought a bottle of wine and a new magazine. I got home and went to open the bottle of wine and realized I had brought my wine opener to D.C. , which didn't make it's way back home... So I used other resources... Thankfully I went to college:) If college only taught me one thing it was how to open a bottle of wine with out a wine opener. Now for most people who love wine like my self wouldn't want to cork stuck down into the bottle.. but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. Thankfully I only buy bottles under 8 dollars and what's a little cork damage?

Finally enjoying my wine, painting my nails, and reading a new wedding magazine!

Happy Saturday!

Exploring Savannah

More SAVANNAH PICTURES..:)
After eating at The Lady and Sons we went exploring through Savannah. It is such a interesting and historic city. We defiantly got to walk all those fried chicken calories off since Savannah is walking city for the most part. We walked through the historic part of town to the river district.

The river district
The candy shop we stopped in for Kenny to get his salt water taffy.

HEY YA'LL!!

On the way to Hilton Head we stopped for a little day trip in Savannah, GA- Home of Paula Dean. The town is covered with her name so naturally we decided to eat at her restaurant "The Lady and Sons" It was Sunday so they only had a buffet, but we were fine with that because it looked DELISH! Every southern staple you could think of- Collards, Sweet Potatoes, Fried Chicken, and Mac & Cheese. I think I consumed 1,000 calories in 30 minutes, but it was well worth it. The town even gives a "Paula Dean Tour" but with a $138 price tag per person it wasn't worth it for us.

In front of the Lady and Sons.

I asked Kenny what he would do if Paula Dean showed up at the restaurant and he said " Well I would defiantly give her a kiss...." I think Kenny wishes he was dating someone who cooked fried chicken every day for him:)

The restaurant even includes a 2 story gift shop!

Kenny and I already planned another trip to Savannah in March for St. Patrick's day, can't wait!!
